LG is one of the most reputable electronics manufacturer and is one of the best innovator in the Monitor and TV market. The LG 32MA68HY-P is another great example of a quality monitor for the best price possible at only $199.99. The best features of the monitor is the split screen capability for efficient multi-tasking. You could browse on the internet while keeping tabs on your Facebook news feed while watching a movie or in work-mode, having your spreadsheet, emails, document and Skype open without switching windows. If this doesn’t convince you, keep reading for a more detailed review of the LG 32MA68HY-P 32-Inch IPS Monitor.
32” Full HD IPS Display
The IPS display has a great viewing angle of about 178° without color and brightness degradation which is great for situations such as watching a movie with your significant other or family, working with a partner of if you tend to use the screen at different postures. The color reproduction is more controlled and precise than usual TN displays and the added feature of lower display response time. The LG 32MA68HY-P monitor promises a great viewing experience for workstations, gamers, graphic designers and movie enthusiasts.
For me personally I am a big fan of displays with a diverse input options. If there was 1 thing I would complain about LG is their Input versatility. The LG 32MA68HY-P monitor comes with 1 Display Port, 1 HDMI, 1 D-Sub(VGA) and 2 USB 2.0. I wish that it came with a DVI port also as with the split screen option it would be a good thing to have enough input port for multi-input viewing experience.
If you connect your monitor to your PC or laptop via the provided USB port which I strongly recommend you to do, you will have access to the On-Screen Control. This is a nice improvement over the tradition below the screen buttons to configure your screen. For this feature, words aren’t enough. Instead, you could watch the demo from LG directly below.
Screen Split 2.0
As I mentioned in the introduction, this is the best feature of the LG 32MA68HY-P. I’ve been following the releases of LG’s Ultra-Wide monitors and they tremendously improved the split screen function over the years. Your productivity and viewing experience will never be the same.
VESA Wall-Mount Compatible
The VESA wall-mount has been overlooked for budget monitors since the last few years and it is a shame. You could save a lot of desktop space by mounting your LG 32MA68HY-P monitor on your wall.

The overall user experience of the LG 32MA68HY-P monitor has been great. If you keep tabs on price, you would know that an IPS display at $200 is surreal ! But for a 32 inch display, 1080 p resolution is quite low. If you intend to read on the monitor, you will have to place it at a reasonable distance (around 1 meter away from you) and tweak with the settings. The brightness is very strong so most would keep it at 50%. You have to keep in mind that you get what you pay for. If you want a high pixel density display, a 32-inch monitor would cost around $400-$500. If you prefer a laptop, check out this student buying laptop guide. But I have used a 32-inch 1080 display before and if you keep in mind the distance between you and the monitor and tweak with Windows built-in viewing options, this is a great investment.
